got me. So here we go!

I dunno about you, but just one character sounds boring. (Plus, I can't choose!) How about we spice it by getting both my self-OCs, Ember and Shadmé, involved in this? Hey guys!

Shadmé: It's Shadmé. Can you believe that in my original draft, I was named Ember, then changed my name to Shadmé? How weird!

Shadmé: Well, I don't really have a last name. I just go with X.
Ember: My full name is Ember Agbayani.
2. Do you know why you were named that?
Shadmé: To me, my name has no significant value!
Ember: That's harsh. Why are you so happy about that?
Shadmé: Because it's a cool name! Apparently, the author named me this to round out her username, ShadowMewX. My name's a fusion of Shadow and Mew. Even though I've never met Shadow the Hedgehog and people sometimes think ShadowMew is referring to an evil Mew Pokemon, it's still a pretty nice blend.
Ember: Anyway...my name also has an OoC reason. The author liked the word ember because it had a nice animation in Pokemon Emerald, her first Pokemon game. And Blaziken was her main Pokemon used, so...
Shadmé: Sweet! Both of our names have Pokemon influence!
Ember: Well, mine has a legit reason, too. I can wield fire. My parents didn't know that part, but they actually named me for the red streaks in my hair, which were thin and numerous, like actual embers.
Shadmé: Isn't it weird to name your kid "ember?"
Ember: Amber's a perfectly acceptable name, so I don't know why mine wouldn't be! And you're one to talk!
Shadmé: Hey! Pokemon-character-names are exotic!
Ember: More like weird.

Shadmé: I can use serveral different divine weapon types easily!
Ember: But you can't fly, despite being an angel.
Shadmé: *changes subject* What about you?
Ember: I have control over fire and am a dagger-wielding specialist.

Both: We aren't Mary Sues!
Shadmé: After all, my name's Shadmé, not Mary!
Ember: You don't get how this works, do you?

Shadmé: My eyes are brown.
Ember: Mine are green, like moss!
Shadmé: Oh, we're getting fancy here? Mine are as dark brown as an ancient oak!

Shadmé: Both of us have black hair with red stripes. However, I can actually count the number of stripes in mine. That would be five- four in the back and one over my eye.
Ember: Well, excuse you! At least mine looks more natural. You're a Shadow ripoff!

Ember: Well... *sigh* I have a little sister. Both of my parents are alive.
Shadmé: I don't have any besides my adopted mother!

Shadmé: I have Kuro (a black cat) and Scruffy (a Poochyena)!

11. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?
Ember: Sketching, I suppose. Gravel was teaching me how to draw well.
Shadmé: I enjoy flying, when given the chance! And hanging out with Pit.

Shadmé: I've hurt bosses that oppose peace and the way of light, but I try not to kill them.
Ember: I've hurt plenty of feelings...

Shadmé: I suppose you could say I killed some Underworld monsters, but they don't have real souls, so my conscience is pretty clear in that regard. What about you, Ember?
Ember: ...
Shadmé: ...Okay then.

Ember: The wonderful animal known as a human being.
Shadmé: I'm an angel! I kinda take offense to being called an animal, though.
Ember: So what? You think you're better than the creatures of the earth?
Shadmé: ...Did I say that?

Ember: Now I know you're planning something. Who just goes and asks someone what her weakness is?
Shadmé: I'm loyal to a fault. If something bad happens to my loved ones, I feel devoid of purpose.
Ember: Well...if you're doing it...fine! I'm a hard-core believer in justice. It's very difficult for me to do anything other than following my heart and believing what is right.
Shadmé: If you're talking about physical weaknesses, then I must say my wings get in the way of combat. *glares at Ember*
Ember: Hey! I already said I was sorry! I wouldn't have threatened your precious wings if I had known they were as important as other limbs are!
Shadmé: Why wouldn't they be?
Ember: *sigh* Well...anyway...being short and a girl has disadvantages in combat when my opponents are way stronger than me. Also, my strategic battle style clashes with my element, which is meant for a direct attack style.
16. Do you look up to anyone at all?
Shadmé: I look up to Pit. He's the perfect hero. He's brave, he's kind, he's loyal, he's witty...he's everything I'm not.
Ember: I look up to Gravel, my fellow Catalyst-in-arms! He's so calm and level-headed about everything, and sees a lot of things that I miss.
17. Are you straight, gay or bi?
Shadmé: Straight, I suppose. I've never really thought about it.
Ember: Er...
Shadmé: Hm?
Ember: Curse this stupid questionnaire for making me come out of the closet! I'm bisexual, okay?

Ember: I, uh...made it as far as middle school. I don't go to school anymore.

Shadmé: Heck yeah I do! I consider all the people who read Feathers of Light and Dark fans of me! And there are a lot and I love them all!

21. What are you most afraid of?
Shadmé: I fear being forgotten or being alone. Once, I thought that I was strong enough to power through anything, but once I learned what it was like to be nothingness...yeah. I never want that ever again.
Ember: I have mild hydrophobia. Easy enough. I'm also afraid of hurting people.
Shadmé: Oh! And I also don't like Reapers. Nasty things!
Ember: Theeere's the cheery Shadmé we all know.

Shadmé: Both of us wear red t-shirts and black pants.
Ember: I wear sandals on my feet and, if the time calls for it, a cloak.
Shadmé: Additionally, I have a silver laurel crown in my hair, fingerless gloves, a cape held by a silver phoenix pendant, and black-and-red sneakers.
Ember: I'm still surprised you managed to find a way to make that outfit work. It really sounds like a lot of those accessories should clash.
Shadmé: Pfffft, you just have no fashion sense!
23. What's one food that tempts you?
Shadmé: I loooove fruit! Any kind of fruit! It's so tasty!
Ember: I'm a fan of meats. Any kind of meat will do.

Ember: Yes. From question one.

Ember: I had a nice home, so when I lived there, I would say I was probably middle class. With the Catalysts, though, we were kinda hidden from civilization. I don't think classes matter.
Shadmé: Lower-mid with my old fam, most likely. When I got to Skyworld, that was some high-class stuff!
27. How many friends do you have?
Ember: Exactly five. Tida, Solis, Val, Gravel and Aeran.
Shadmé: Whaaat? I don't count?
Ember: Technically we're from completely different series and shouldn't know each other.
Shadmé: But we met in that one unpublished crossover!
Ember: Emphasis on unpublished.
Shadmé: Anyway...I have Pit, Dark, a ton of gods, a ton of fans...

Shadmé: Fruit pie is the best!

Shadmé: I like finding the puffiest clouds and sitting on them. What? That's really a thing in Skyworld!
Ember: I happen to like relaxing in trees by myself.

Shadmé: Well, if we're going by Pokemon standards, it's safe to say I'd likely be Dark/Flying. But I can't fly, and my main source of attack is a metal bow, so maybe Dark/Steel is more realistic if I have Levitate as-

I knew most people started their Pokemon journeys at age 10. I, however, am a rebel. Just kidding. I thought I should take a few years to study some books before doing it for real.
The weather was:

2) Sunny with some clouds.
3) Cloudy.

5) Snowy.
6) A natural disaster.
The trip to the Lab was an easy one. The sun was out, but clouds floated in the sky. They didn't seem like rain clouds, so I figured I was in the clear. The temperature wasn't too bad either, especially when the clouds occasionally drifted in front of the sun and blocked off the harsh light.

Fighting the Deoxys taught me a lesson. I learned that not everything is obtainable. I learned that Pokemon have lives too, and they don't always seek human captivity. Even though that sounds disheartening, it just made me more encouraged to treat my own Pokemon with care and dignity, and fight the battles that I know I can win.
The hardest trial you ever faced was:
1) Fighting your rival to become Champion.
2) Realizing just how much you have to walk and still sticking out this whole journey thing.
3) Being lost for weeks.
4) Assisting in taking down a criminal organization.
5) Losing a Pokémon.
6) Realizing there are way too many Pokémon to ever catch ‘em all.
I didn't realize I was doing the gym battle-thing now, but okay.
I assume that we fought in gyms not to inevitably become the champion, but instead to toughen ourselves up for our long journey ahead. Fighting the rival Champion reminded me of the Deoxys battle, but unlike then, this is something that I can have fun with.

Fighting the Deoxys taught me a lesson. I learned that not everything is obtainable. I learned that Pokemon have lives too, and they don't always seek human captivity. Even though that sounds disheartening, it just made me more encouraged to treat my own Pokemon with care and dignity, and fight the battles that I know I can win.
The hardest trial you ever faced was:
1) Fighting your rival to become Champion.
2) Realizing just how much you have to walk and still sticking out this whole journey thing.
3) Being lost for weeks.
4) Assisting in taking down a criminal organization.
5) Losing a Pokémon.

I didn't realize I was doing the gym battle-thing now, but okay.
I assume that we fought in gyms not to inevitably become the champion, but instead to toughen ourselves up for our long journey ahead. Fighting the rival Champion reminded me of the Deoxys battle, but unlike then, this is something that I can have fun with.

I'm Going to my First Rock Concert!

I'm so excited! The group we're going to see is Breaking Benjamin, the guys I made "Angels Fall- A Breaking Benjamin Tribute" and "Dawn" for! My mom even insisted on printing the pictures and taking them with us to give to Ben (the main singer) if we meet him because she really likes the pictures. I'm kind of embarrassed, but we're doing it anyway. XD
We're going to a sit-down concert in Detroit, Michigan, but not one of those crazy mosh pits. I wouldn't be able to see over one! And I'd probably get smooshed.
I'll post the results of the concert once we're back, if anyone's interested.

Ah, it was amazing! We got balcony seats so it wasn't hard for me to see at all. The two opening bands were Starset and 10 Years. Starset is a new electronic band who set up screens which flashed visuals of space and whose band members dressed in suits. Their performance was great, but the sound was so loud I couldn't hear the main singer. I missed a bit of 10 Years but when I came back, I thought they were pretty good too but with the same audio problem as Starset. Oh yeah, and a woman totally flashed them. Purposely. Twice. My parents were dying laughing. XD And the lead singer even acknowledged her, saying "Now it's getting real. This is the rowdiest balcony I've seen!" Speaking of, some dude near us was smoking tobacco or something near us. It had a sweet smell and I thought it was drugs at first. I held my breath every time I'd see his smoke because I was afraid of getting it in my system. XD

Failure (Can't forget Failure! I expected it to be earlier, though.)
Star Wars (Hilariously, the lights were turned off again and Ben was waving around a red lightsaber. The guitarists jammed out the Star Wars theme.)

Polyamorous (This got me excited for no reason. They performed it amazingly.)

Breath (Here come all the good ones! I knew we were getting close to the end.)

Diary of Jane (An encore! I knew it was coming since this is one of their most popular and they hadn't played it yet. Although I thought it was Failure at first because of how similar the two are.)
The entire experience was one of the most amazing things I've been a part of. The sheer mass of people there- old and young, calm and crazy, everything you could imagine- all united in a single purpose, which was to come all the way out to Michigan and support an amazing band. We waited outside in hopes of catching the band before they left, but it was getting late and we didn't get to speak. Instead, we delivered the pictures to someone who will take it to them. I didn't have a lot of time to write an extremely heartfelt message (which I really wanted to do), but I managed to put out "Thank you Breaking Benjamin for making my first concert awesome!" and added my name, age and DeviantArt link. If I get a reply I'd die of happiness.

It's so cool how DA's been around 15 years. I didn't realize it was that old! :3 Even though I only got to be part of 1 year of it, I love this site and I'd be happy to answer this questionnaire.
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Like I said, I've been here 1 year! 1 year and a half, to be precise. Though I did browse it for Skylanders stuff before that.
What does your username mean?
It's easier to explain my old one first. ShadowMewX came from my love for Shadow the Hedgehog (a Sonic character) and Mew (a Pokemon). The X sounded cool. XD Then, I wanted to make a character for myself, but had no clue what to call her. So I took the first letters of Shadow, first letters of Mew, and combined them: Shadmé. Shadmé is an angel, and voila! I'm still wondering if DarkAngelShadme is a better name, though...

is always there to look at my art and comment on it. Having people like her who say such nice things and chat with me gives me inspiration to keep drawing! And the more I draw, the better I get. I enjoy taking time in my life to draw things others can view and enjoy.What are your preferred tools to create art?
I prefer pencil and paper. But I am totally fine working with the Wacom tablet, my laptop, a stylus or the iPad for drawings and of course a camera and my Kid Icarus Figmas for photography.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I sit on the end of my bed, either at a laptop, tablet or sketchbook for drawings and somewhere in my room for photos. It's very comfortable and calm in my room, and occasionally I get visited by my kitty friends. X3
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
The first time I won a group contest and got a Premium Membership. Mine was the only traditionally-drawn contest entry, and I was sure I wasn't close to winning! But it made me happy to know enough people liked my drawing enough for me to win the contest. Honestly, just knowing people liked it was enough of a reward for me. :3
